We will be starting 'Squiggle whilst you wiggle' where children will be learning to write letter shapes while moving their bodies along to music. They will also be starting maths sessions. Each child will have their own Dojo monster and will earn points throughout the day for following the rules, trying hard at learning times and for wonderful work.

School Topic for Autumn Term 2

For the second part of the Autumn term the whole school will have a focus on Bonfire Night, Remembrance Day and finally our Christmas topic 'Making Christmas Magical.' For Bonfire Night will be focussing on firework artwork, colours and firework safety, For Remembrance Day we will be learning wartime nursery rhymes such as The Grand Old Duke of York and Humpty Dumpty. Finally for our 'Making Christmas Magical' topic we will be making our own Christmas decorations for our very own Christmas tree and reading The Fox's tale as part of our Power of Reading work.

Homework and Readers

We will be sending home some nursery rhymes for your child to learn. If your child brings a book bag into school they will be able to take a book home from our shared reading area and these books can be changed every day. We do ask that you borrow just one book at a time so that there are enough books for everyone. We look forward to finding out which books your children have enjoyed reading with you.
