School Topic for Autumn Term
We are currently doing baseline assessments so that we can find out what your children already know and what they need to learn next.
Our whole school power of reading book is ‘Here We Are’ by Oliver Jeffers . The children are really enjoying this book so far and finding out more about their world.
We also have an alien visitor in FS1. He has come to our planet to find out more about our world.
We are going to be learning more about where we live with our ‘What made Grimsby Great? topic this term.
When we have finished our work on the ‘Here We Are’ book we will be looking at the book ‘We’re Going On A Bear Hunt’ and finding out more about autumn.
Please click here to see detailed curriculum planning for each term.
If you would like more information regarding the school's curriculum, please talk to your child's class teacher.
Homework and Readers
We will be sending home some nursery rhymes for your child to learn. If your child brings a book bag into school they will be able to take a book home from our shared reading area and these books can be changed every day. We do ask that you borrow just one book at a time so that there are enough books for everyone. We look forward to finding out which books your children have enjoyed reading with you.
