EYFS Bean Growing

We have been learning about plants and how they grow. We looked at a selection of different seeds and how they were similar to or different from each other. We looked at the life cycle of plants and what plants need to grow. We planted runner bean seeds using cotton wool and clear plastic bags so that we could see how they change as they grow. Then the seeds started to crack. A shoot and roots began to grow. Then the stalk got longer and leaves began to grow. Some of our beans are now so long that they have grown out of the bags!!!
